During the Coronovirus chapter (Covid-19) selfcare is so important, I offer 1:1 Counselling and Supervision sessions offline & online.
It takes courage to take that first step to see a counsellor, you may be feeling stuck or perhaps finding life a bit overwhelming right now. Counselling offers you a safe, confidential space to work through what is troubling you.
I offer a calm, supportive, non-judgemental and discreet space for you to explore what is important right now in your life, to build resilience.
Counselling enhances self-awareness and from that the opportunity to allow new possibilities to emerge and changes you want to take place. As an experienced counsellor I will work with you to gain renewed self-awareness and strategies to enhance your balance in life.
My Counselling Approach
As an Integratively trained Counsellor, I have trained in person centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT) and professional coaching. I tailor my counselling work to suit each client’s individual needs.
With new insight and self-awareness, you will learn how to manage your wellbeing outside of the therapy room. Learning to understand your stressors and how they impact on your life can be empowering. With this new awareness, you can use strategies to move forward in your life. To complement my work, I also offer mindfulness exercises, research todate shows, it helps to slow the mind and aid relaxation.
Some of the Issues I work with include
Overwhelm, anxiety, depression, panic, stress, bereavement, loss and unhealthy relationships. I find the issues clients bring to counselling are as individual as they are.
Life changes or transition can cause stress, we all manage it differently; this can impact on our health, relationships and balance e.g. stress related to weddings, divorce, separation, menopause, infertility, becoming a new parent, retirement, relocation to a new area, university life, career or work situations etc.
Personal and private issues can be difficult to express to friends and family. Our work will help you to move towards accepting and supporting yourself without fear of judgement.
As a Supervisor for counsellors, I currently work with counselling students within placement, qualified counsellors and other professionals requiring supervisory support.
I offer a free introductory session, this gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, explore whether counselling is right for you right now.
