As an MBACP Registered Counsellor, I offer experience, warmth, empathy, confidentiality and compassion. I find each clients situation and the issues they bring to counselling are as unique as they are. Counselling offers you a space to " say it as it is" enabling you to move forward in your life.
I work from a calm, private and confidential, purpose designed studio in Mid Devon between Cullompton and Exeter.
Unexpected changes at home or at work can present at any time in life causing anxiety and stress. It is important to recognise this and to take some action to protect your wellbeing and balance.
It can be difficult to express or share private feelings and emotions with friends and family. Counselling enhances self-awareness and from that the opportunity to allow new possibilities to emerge and for changes you want to take place in a confidential and supportive space.
As a Supervisor in counselling practice, I currently work with counselling students within placement, qualified counsellors and other professionals requiring supervisory support.
As well Counselling, I am a qualified and experienced Professional Coach. I work with transition i.e. clients experiencing job changes, retirement, coping with university life, challenges settling into a new community and / or life changes related to health and family relationships (including becoming a new parent). It can really help to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and how to manage difficulties you may be facing.
I have worked professionally in GP Practices, NHS Hospitals managing acute gynaecology and cancer services, Hospices, Cancer Support Centres and for NHS Public Health. I am an experienced and grounded Counsellor, Coach, Clinician and Clinical Supervisor. I also work with two leading cancer charities in the South West managing group facilitation and cancer support.
As a Mindfulness Practitioner, I use the skills I have learnt in my group work, clients seem to really enjoy and benefit from the exercises. Bespoke retreat days are available on request.
I offer a free initial introductory consultation, allowing you time to explore and discuss the issues you wish to bring to counselling. This non-obligatory session is offered to all clients at the outset allowing us both to establish how we can work together.
Email or call me to discuss how I may be able to help you : firstname.lastname@example.org
