These sessions may be helpful following a stressful life event, health concerns, bereavement or relationship difficulties. Retreats are individually tailored and prices are available on request.

Confidentiality and records

Your Privacy, Confidentiality & Trust
Counselling is confidential. At the beginning of our work together, I will explain how confidentiality applies and answer any questions you may have.
I will not contact you, leave messages or acknowledge you outside the therapy setting without your agreement. You may choose whether to tell anyone that you are attending counselling.
There are rare circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be broken, for example, if I believe that you or someone else is at serious risk of harm. Wherever possible, I would discuss this with you first.
As part of safe and ethical practice, I discuss my work anonymously with my clinical supervisor. I keep secure professional notes in line with data-protection requirements and BACP guidance. Your personal contact details are stored separately from counselling notes.
You can view and download my Privacy Policy and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy here.
Cancellations
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are normally charged at the full session fee.
Need emergency support?
If you require emergency support and want to talk to someone now, please contact your GP during working hours, or call 111 or visit https://111.nhs.uk, or call 999 if you require an ambulance.
You can also contact the Samaritans 24/7 helpline by calling 116 123 or visit samaritans.org or visit Mind mind.org.uk who offer a range of helpful resources.
